2011 marked 50 years since The Castaways came into existence. And though the names and faces have changed, the musical spirit has remained.

Looking back through time, the band has created its own unique history. Here, we attempt to capture some this heritage to share with fans and past members alike. So take a look around on our "Pics" page and enjoy a walk through five decades of musical history.

The Castaways

The Castaways are the premier party band in the Carolinas and Virginia. A reputable band known throughout the South, The Castaways posses nearly fifty years of experience in the beach music industry. From it’s beginning in Durham, NC in 1961, The Castaways have been pleasing audiences with their unique flavor of Beach, Soul, and Rock N’ Roll for generations of fans. The Castaways original music can be heard on Beach Music radio shows throughout the southeast. As artists on the KHP Music label, their CD’s “Generation Six” and “Give It Up” have received great reviews as they have showcased the variety of vocal styles and song selections that The Castaways can offer! Come out and give The Castaways a listen – you will soon become a “Castanut”!!
