Beach Music has long been a tradition in The South, and The Entertainers are proud to have shared in that tradition for over 30 years.
The Entertainers were founded In 1980 and scored their first regional smash hit with "Living For The Summer" that same year. This song helped propel the group to the forefront of beach music, which led to their playing the finest clubs along the grand strand of Myrtle Beach, corporate conventions, weddings and festivals from Washington, DC to Naples, Florida.
While staying true to their R&B and Beach Music roots, the group also satisfies the most diverse audiences by playing selections from the latest Top 40, Classic Rock & Roll and Country music. The group's years of performing experience and recording prowess culminated in the release of their latest album entitled, "The Inside Story". This record, which contains the #1 Beach Music hit, "Thank Goodness She Cheated" and Classic Beach and Soul hits, will surely lead you to the dance floor with a smile on your face.

Rick "Clint" Sabiston
Ricky "Clint" Sabiston started playing drums at age 5 and within 4 years, he was in his first band playing birthday parties and talent contests. Through the years, he has had the pleasure of playing and performing with many great musicians and members of such artists as The Platters, Marshall Tucker and Reba McEntire. "Clint" sings harmony vocals and also plays piano and guitar, but most of all he enjoys filling the drummer's position and being a part of the steady driving force behind The Entertainers.
Zach "The Sax Man" Wheeler
Bio coming soon.
Gary "Alex" Alexander
Gary (Alex) started his career as a lead guitarist and vocalist at age fifteen. By age sixteen he had already opened for Tommy James and the Shondells. While touring with national recording artist Kim Boyce, he opened for BeBe and CeCe Winans, The Imperials, White Heart, Mylon LeFever and Sandi Patty, the list goes on and on. This astonishing singer, songwriter and guitarist has too many credits to mention here. Come see for yourself, why The Entertainers are so excited to have Alex in their line up today.
Michael "Quick Draw" McGraw
Michael is the most versatile musician the band has ever had. In addition to being the band's keyboardist, Michael plays drums, flute, sings back-up and lead vocals. He also writes and arranges tunes for the band's extensive repertoire. Much of the group's choreography is directed by Michael. He is one of the most easy-going, wittiest and pleasant people you could ever wish to meet. Ask him about his studio and some of the recording sessions he's done in Salem, Virginia.
Mike Brown
Mike's Back! After leaving The Entertainers to become a commercial pilot and then onto flying rock stars and sports teams all over the world, Mike Brown has returned to the band. One night during a tour, Bruce Springsteen invited his pilot (Mike) on stage to sit in with the E Street Band. Needless to say, the experience was thrilling to Mike and renewed his desire to play music again. Mike's seasoned stage presence along with his rich tone and high range on trumpet and soulful voice on lead and back up vocals are an exciting addition to the group. Look up...you may see us flying in on the next gig!
Bob Chambers
Bob is a native of Greensboro, NC and began his career performing as a bluesman for many of the local & regional acts of the times, while also making his mark with several of the Beach & Top 40 bands around the area. As time went on, Bob shared the stage with various acts including; Kerri Michaels, Billy Bazemore, Clifford Curry, and Archie Bell, just to name a few. Bob is now delighted to once again have the opportunity to bring his smooth vocals, clean sax riffs, and electrifying dance moves to the stage, and to be called an Entertainer.

Dear JR,
We wanted to let you know that the band you booked for our daughter's wedding reception on June 25, 2011, The Entertainers, was a hit for us and for our guests. Everyone so enjoyed their music. We even had a neighbor share that during the reception, she sat on her porch several yards away and listened to our music - she said it was wonderful.
Earl Dawkins had a warm and inviting manner. He was a great encourager to get people up and dancing - something that was important to us. He was very sensitive to playing the music that John, Dori, and Lucy (the Mom) had requested. He stayed responsive to our needs to make announcements and was a pleasure to talk to. We spent time after our guests had left talking about his daughter's mission trips. The band was easy to get along with and a joy to be around.
Our guests had a great time celebrating John and Dori's wedding and marriage. It was a special day for all of us, with The Entertainers' music helping to make it such a blessing.
Hope you have an enjoyable weekend.
Sincerely,
Lucy and Ted Corwin
Hi Ellie, I think everyone really enjoyed the Entertainers - they sounded great and there was a lot of dancing going on!! It was amazing - the ceremony was outside - beautiful sunny day!! - the reception was outside - stayed mostly sunny - some clouds. When the couple was leaving and all the guests had sparklers in hand - it started to drizzle and after they left the rain came!! Someone up there was looking out for us. Thanks for all your help, Ellie. We really appreciated your input in booking the Entertainers. Cissy

Mother of the Bride
Earl Dawkins and The Entertainers were the perfect addition to our Block Party. In fact, they became the main attraction as more than 400 people strolled the main street of the NC Research Campus in celebration of our 3rd College President. The group was well received and projected positive energy that rippled through the crowd. Our audience was diverse in every way. The Entertainers made us all feel right at home at our "Block Party" with good music for our souls.

Larry,
We missed you at the wedding, but did want to say that we appreciate your having recommended Earl Dawkins and The Entertainers as the right band for our reception. They were super! I never plan to marry again, but if I did, I would book The Entertainers in a heartbeat! Thanks for your help.

I just want to let you know we were very pleased with The Entertainers band performance for my daughter's wedding reception. I think they did an excellent job and people danced and danced. It was exactly what my daughter wanted for her reception. Thanks again,

I wanted to let you know what a great time we had at Benedict's Friday Feb. 6 - thanks to Earl Dawkins & The Entertainers. All 155 guests have ranted & raved about how great & TALENTED these guys were. Ages of those present ranged from 25 to 75 so it can be hard to please everyone but this group sure did!! Earl has great rapport with an audience & really charmed all who attended. I saw couples who usually leave right after dinner (about 9:30 pm) still dancing & partying after midnight. Earl called the week before our event to check with me on any special requests, dress, etc. - extremely professional AND personable. Wish we had a reason to book these guys every month. I will be spreading the word to friends having daughters getting married to not look any further than Earl & The Entertainers. WHAT A GREAT GROUP!!!! Thanks for everything!

The Bendict's Club
The Entertainers led by Mr. Earl Dawkins have given two extremely successful performances for Providence Country Club in Charlotte, NC. They played for both our Member Gala and New Year's Eve Gala in 2008.
Each person in the band and crew was a pleasure and extremely professional and respectful to everyone they came into contact with at the Club. The band played a variety of songs to keep everyone happy! They catered to song requests and had everyone on their feet dancing! For our New Year's Gala, Mr. Dawkins even went as far as to customize a CD of songs requested by our Members to play during their breaks. Everything went smoothly from the clean and efficient set-up all the way through the night until the final song was played.
I would recommend this band with high regards. Anyone would be lucky to attend one of their performances! Please feel free to call if you need more information.
Sincerely,
Jamie Grauel

Hi Ted: The Entertainers were wonderful! Everyone loved them! They were set up on time. They were helpful in figuring out the music flow, breaks, etc. Earl was very easy to deal with and the other members were extremely nice. They had what they wanted to eat so everyone was happy. One member of our club came up to me at the end and made a point to tell me that he loves to dance and they were the best band we had ever had. He was one of many who complimented the Entertainers! We had more people stay until the end of the dance than ever before. I have to say, it's the best La Coterie party I've ever been to!
Thanks so much for the suggestion! I even bought a CD!
I'll be in touch with the name of next year's President who will decide the band. Thanks again for all of your help. I definitely made the right decision!

This band was wonderful! Everyone enjoyed the music. The first time I have not had one single complaint about the music! We are booking them again next year. It will be in January, but don't have the date pinned down yet. I will be back in touch.

The Entertainers did an absolutely wonderful job. They were very professional, kept the crowd happy, upbeat and were great to work with. Earl and the folks did a fantastic job and made Katie and Michael's wedding reception very special. Person after person came up to me and ask, "where did you get that band"? Even with Earl's recent surgery he was great. Please tell anyone who needs a reference for the band to give me a call. I even found myself singing Mustang Sally yesterday at work. That tells you something. Thanks for everything.
Rick Franklin
These guys were great. From the moment the tech guy pulled into the parking lot until they left the building they were great to work with. Our people really enjoyed them and responded well. We had a ton of new faces that attended that night and that is why we do things like this. I couldn't have been happier with the results. My hat is off to you and "The Entertainers".
Thanks much,
Jeff
The Entertainers played at our daughter's wedding reception on June 3rd. Give them 5 stars! They were great, a super bunch of guys. Earl played our requests and read the flow of the evening perfectly. I would highly recommend this group to anyone that wants a class act. They were professionals all the way.

Just wanted to let you know what a great time we had on June 17, 2006. Our wedding celebration was a hit. The Entertainers were fabulous. Our guests had a great time and many commented on how much they enjoyed the band. We would gladly recommend The Entertainers to our friends and acquaintances for future parties and celebrations.
Sincerely,
Dr. and Mrs. David Kiser
The Entertainers were great. Everyone had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the band. They were able to play such a variety of music, and do it well too. They were able to go from country to John Mayer. All guests ask what was the name of that band and how did I find them. I am actually glad you emailed me b/c I had wanted to get in touch with you and sing their praises. They were able to get the crowd involved and make sure everyone had fun on the dance floor. I would definately want to use them again for another occasion and I know several other people are interested too. Thanks so much and please let Mr. Dawkins know that he and the whole band made my night SO special and I thank them for that.

Thought I would tell you that The Entertainers performed an excellent show for the Town of Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Department at our Fun Family Fourth of July Celebration. They were a high energy, very versatile, and entertaining group! They played a variety of music; something for every age group!
The Mayor, Town Manager, and I were thrilled with their performance! Citizens are still talking about the wonderful group that was at Aberdeen Lake Park on July 4th.
Please relay these comments to Earl Dawkins and the other members! We will definitely book The Entertainers for another event next summer!
I was so pleased with the performance of the Entertainers. They were awesome!!! They kept the party going all night long. They played exactly what I asked for, and remembered all of my requests. Even the babies and grandmothers were dancing. My guest raved about the band and has asked our club manager to bring them back to perform at our next club function. They are true professionals!!
I look forward to having them play again!!!!
DeAnna Sellers
The Entertainers played for my daughter's wedding reception on my birthday 9/30/2006. They were great!!!! People were dancing that had not danced for years, people were singing that had not sung in years and the stage presence of the band was wonderful. They were a perfect band for a perfect wedding and if you could extend our compliments I would appreciate it.
Thanks again for representing such a talent group of people. My daughter was correct, they are the best.

I just wanted you to know what a success our Black-tie banquet was this past Friday night in Col. Wmsburg. The Entertainers were great to work with in advance of the performance and did an awesome job making the 520+ dinner/dance guests happy! We particularly appreciated their working with us on doing an extended set so as to avoid our loosing the audience. I have to use a variety of bands for our meetings, but as soon as I can throw The Entertainers back into the mix, I will be certain to do that!

Just wanted to let you know how absolutely WONDERFUL the band was this past Saturday night. Not only did they sound and play fantastic, they were extremely EASY to work with, especially with the very difficult turn we had to do after the cocktail hour. None of the guests knew what went on behind closed doors during cocktail hour, but it was rough and Earl and the band worked so hard to set up everything such a short amount of time. Earl was so patient with all the last minute changes and just handled everything beautifully. Plain and simple, they just ROCKED!
Best Regards,
Catherine Bell
I wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the Entertainers. They played at my wedding reception in February. Their music was wonderful, and they were so nice to work with. Everyone danced all night, and I just got the DVD from the reception last week and enjoyed seeing everyone on the dance floor again. My only regret was that as the bride I had to talk to everyone and couldn't be on the dance floor all night! Everyone really enjoyed themselves, and I credit The Entertainers for that. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks so much.
